adidas Boston Celtics Rajon Rondo New Replica Alternate JerseyTyler Bergantino PF
Evaluation by ESPU University Men's Basketball Recruiting
May, 2009: This young post is in better shape and more explosive than when I saw him in the fall. Bergantino played with great energy and urgency and was a complete terror on the boards. He competed for rebounds on both ends and finished with a tip dunk in traffic by simply going to the offensive glass with aggressiveness and toughness. Bargantino has added strength and is a much better athlete than he appears. He ran the floor and finished drop off passes created by guard penetration on a consistent basis. Defensively he has the size and strength to fight for low post position and does a good job of contesting shots. Bergantino must continue to develop his post moves and work to extend his shooting range but has made great strides in a short period of time. Bergantino is one to keep an eye on as he continues to develop.
September, 2008: This strong big body freshman is a work in progress. He plays hard, has good hands and moves pretty well. A Good defensive rebounder and physical post defender. All scoring at this point is created from guard penetration where he can finish with a clear angle to the rim. He is very coachable and with improved conditioning will be a factor for his high school varsity team this winter.
